What is KhaRMAlma Land & Enviromental Justice (KALEJ)?

KHaRMAlma Land & Environmental Justice (KALEJ) combines «KHaRMA» (Knowledge, Humanity, and Resources for Meaningful Advocacy) with «Alma» (meaning «soul» in Spanish), reflecting our passion for advocacy and personal dedication. The Hindi acronym «KALEJ» means «colleague,» emphasizing our collaborative spirit. We are committed to advancing justice in environmental and land-related issues by empowering and advocating for marginalized communities, ensuring a fair and equitable world for all.

Vision

Our vision is to create a world where land and natural resources are equitably shared, fostering peace, happiness, and prosperity for all through cultural and social diversity.

Mission

KHaRMAlma contributes to this vision by advocating for inclusive and culturally diverse concepts of property and progress, ensuring that laws protect all beings on Earth, including animals. We focus on land rights and environmental justice for Afro-descendant, native, indigenous, and migrant communities, addressing the impacts of climate change.
